Highland Stoneworks is a locally owned and operated masonry outfit.   Our goal, as an independent operator in Victoria (BC), is to provide an elite level of service to all of our clients and projects.  To facilitate this level of service, Highland draws from its outfits diverse background of skill sets and expertise in various applications of masonry.  Fortified with an unrivalled network of associates, Highland draws from a vast collective of knowledge and expertise to deliver the highest calibre of service and craftsmanship to your project.

Highland Stoneworks was founded by Ewan Mill.  Ewan  was raised in a household of architects and building scientists and inspired by the long lineage of stonemasons on his fathers side in Dundee, Scotland.  Hence the name of the outfit, as Ewan wanted to carry the torch of his forefathers to deliver traditional practices of masonry to the west coast of Canada. 

Having travelled and worked through his apprenticeship in the Canadian construction industry under some of the most renowned names and outfits in the country, Ewan has been influenced, inspired and taught by some of the best in the country.   This in turn led Ewan to rapidly advance into foreman roles followed by operations manager roles in many of these outfits.  

After years of navigating others businesses, Ewan decided to launch his own vision that would reflect his own standards,  interests and beliefs within the masonry industry of Canada.   His goal was to launch a outfit that would deliver the highest calibre of skill sets and knowledge of masonry in the west coast of Canada.  This dream is now a reality, and as we say the proof is in the wall!
